I was already trading XAUUSD manually on MT5 and reading market context separately in Claude. The two halves of the workflow had no live connection. I wanted Claude to see real positions, recent trades, and live prices — and to be able to act on them under defined risk rules.
A custom MCP server exposing MT5 read/write to any MCP-compatible client. Claude can query positions, request charts, propose entries with stops, and execute under hard-coded risk caps. The MCP layer keeps tool definitions clean so the same server works in Claude Desktop and elsewhere.
